 Price Hikes - Nintendo has announced price changes in Canada for most of their current hard and software. Not the Switch 2, but basically everything else, INCLUDING the Switch 1. It is assumed that these will be price hikes, and Nintendo has HEAVILY implied that, but it has not officially been announced. The official price changes will be made known on Aug 1. “Change based on market conditions.”

Steve McNiven - Joining Tom King on his new Batman book in 2026. McNiven is a staple in the Marvel world, so this is kind of huge. Many are taking this to be a sign that Marvel is truly collapsing.

DC Retcon - New History of the DC Universe is a new book that DC is releasing to fix continuity issues in the mythology that kind of started after the end of Flashpoint. Previously, the first Superhero was Superman, and that is what got the ball rolling, then inspiring others like Batman. Now, they will be acknowledging other superheroes/metahumans that have been seen before Superman went public (JSA, All-Star Squadron, Freedom Fighters, etc. All of whom were assumed to have been manipulated out of continuity by the Watchmen’s Dr. Manhattan). The book will be written from the POV of Barry Allen, since he lost his flash abilities through the course of the Absolute storyline.

Spider-Man ‘94 - Marvel is releasing a sequel to the 90s animated Spider-Man series with Spider-Man ‘94. John Semper, the original writer of the animated series, will not be involved in the project. When questioned Semper said that Marvel did not approach him for the project at all. Continuing, he said that he “long ago abandoned all expectation that Marvel would acknowledge any of my contributions to the Marvel universe – like, for instance, my creation of what is now known as the ‘Spider-Verse’ [as debuted in 1998 during the first half of the series’ two-part finale, Spider Wars Chapter 1: I Really, Really Hate Clones].”
Actual writer for the project is J.M. DeMatteis (Kraven’s Last Hunt, Clone Saga) and art from Jim Towe (Spider-Verse VS Venomverse).
